We are now recruiting for two Project Managers (Exhibitions and Galleries) to join on permanent contracts, working full-time, 35 hours per week. You will be based at the Science Museum in London with hybrid working available.

About the role

As Project Manager (Exhibitions & Galleries) you will work across exhibition projects and existing gallery updates as required. You will be assigned to your own specific projects and will deliver these from creative inception through to delivery, managing budgets of up to £3million and ensuring exhibitions are creative, innovative and match the museum's strategic aspirations. You will be responsible for delivering gallery displays, including updating cases and highlight object displays, as well as general gallery improvements and refreshes.

In this role you will use effective decision-making as you manage and coordinate cross-departmental project teams and stakeholders across the Science Museum and the wider Science Museum Group to develop and deliver a cultural programme including exhibitions, immersive experiences and commissions. You will work closely with a range of internal work package managers & leaders, creative contractors and a team of design professionals to ensure that the museum's needs are met.

About you

Joining us, you will experience of successfully delivering complex exhibition projects to time and quality on a variety of scales, with the ability to generate ideas and drive projects forward. You will be able to lead cross-disciplinary project teams in a creative context alongside a proven track record of managing complex budgets successfully with an ability to report accurately, plan cash flow and meet expenditure targets.

Crucially, you will be an effective communicator with a diplomatic approach and the ability to negotiate with and influence others to ensure ongoing commitment from others working on your projects. You will be able coordinate complex tasks across multiple projects simultaneously and within set deadlines whilst also maintaining an high quality of work.
