This is an exciting opportunity to join a friendly team delivering preventive conservation activities across the three London branches of the Imperial War Museum: Lambeth Road, Churchill War Rooms and HMS Belfast.
As a Preservation Technician at IWM, you will get involved in integrated pest management, environmental monitoring, conservation cleaning, collections emergency planning and will also provide support to our busy exhibition and filming programme.
You will supervise volunteers and contractors who help deliver our work and provide training to colleagues across the museum.
The role will involve some working at height, for which training will be given.
We are recruiting for two technicians: one permanent and one fixed-term until 23rd June 2025. Both technicians will be based at IWM’s Lambeth Road branch with occasional travel to the museum’s other branches.
