The National Museum of the Royal Navy (NMRN) is recruiting for a new role of Resourcing Partner to join our friendly and supportive People team.

The People vision is to create a great place to work, where people feel happy, can be themselves and want to perform their best - helping us to fulfil the NMRN’s vision to be the world’s most inspiring Naval Museum, Linking Navy to Nation.

We have many different job roles including some very specialised roles due to the nature of our work. This can involve project roles (fixed-term appointments), seasonal roles (Front of House), casual and permanent staff. We employ over 350 people and over 250 volunteers across Belfast, Gosport, Hartlepool, Portsmouth and Yeovilton.

If you have experience of working in recruitment and love working with people, are good at planning and organising your work and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, which is both interesting and challenging, then this is the role for you. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of recruiting managers, offering expertise to support their resourcing requirements.

This is also an ideal opportunity for someone to help us improve talent acquisition and development, inclusive recruitment practices, onboarding, off-boarding and employer branding.

Key Opportunities

• Offering vital support to the business to improve talent acquisition and development working within a unique heritage environment.

• Improve resourcing systems, processes, practices and reporting, include inclusive recruitment practices.

• Working with recruiting managers to design selection processes and supporting them with these, as appropriate.

• Improve talent development to support succession planning, career pathways and retention.

Knowledge/Experience

You must be able to work well as part of a team and under your own initiative. You will have recruitment experience and be competent across a range of Windows-based software, with excellent people and communication skills and attention to detail. You will have knowledge of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and how this relates to recruitment and retention.

We Provide:

• The opportunity to be part of a friendly and diverse workplace within a unique heritage environment.
• Group pension plan with Royal London (6% employer contributions, 2% employee contributions and death in service benefit).
• 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays), increasing to 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) after 5 years’ service (pro-rata for part-time employees).

• Flexible working.
• Employee Assistance Programme.
• Free admission to other national museums and attractions within the reciprocal agreement.
