Facilities Manager

It’s an exciting time in our history. Our Facilities Manager will look after our diverse array of buildings, from our Grade I listed Docklands site, through to our Brutalist Barbican site at London Wall, and you will be part of the team running the fully refurbished Grade I buildings at Smithfield from 2026.

We are looking for a proactive, customer focused Facilities professional with experience working in culture & heritage, higher education, healthcare or equivalent sectors. Previous experience of working in a museum is not required and you do not need to have any academic qualifications. For this role, we are considering candidates from different workplaces, our priorities being demonstrating care, diligence and expertise in the field of Facilities.

As Facilities Manager, you will bring a positive, collaborative working style coupled with strong knowledge of historic building fabric, management of hard and soft services, attention to detail with a focus on compliance and excellent people skills. In return, we offer a competitive salary, a supportive team delivering the UK’s largest cultural infrastructure project, a local government pension scheme, learning and development opportunities, free entry to cultural sites across the UK and finally a unique and varied workplace filled with passionate and knowledgeable people working to make culture and heritage accessible for all.
