Lead Collections Move Technician

We have embarked on an extraordinary journey to create a new museum for London.

The London Museum will sit in atmospheric former market buildings, at the heart of one of the capitals most historic and creative quarters, Smithfield. The New Museum project is one of the largest cultural projects in Europe and will transform the Museum, Smithfield ad the City of London.

London Museum has an exciting opportunity for a Lead Collections Move Technician, with an excellent understanding of art handling and museum technical services, coupled with the ability to provide expert advice and solve complex technical problems.

The role would suit someone who has significant experience in handling, moving packing and transporting collections in the museum or arts sector. We are looking for a team player with experience of successfully managing, supervising, mentoring and programming the work of technicians, working with and alongside specialist contractor teams. You will have an excellent working knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and experience of maintaining accurate records and producing appropriate documentation.
