NMDC welcomes Culture Recovery Fund round 1 and 2 announcements

NMDC welcomes this vital injection of recovery funding into the cultural sector, particularly the significant support of over £45m announced for museums.

Museums have worked hard to reopen within current restrictions to offer entertainment, education and sanctuary to communities around the country as well as helping boost local economies. To ensure museums are able to fulfil their enormous potential to aid the UK’s full recovery from the current crisis, the remainder of the Culture Recovery Fund should focus on supporting their survival into the next financial year, and ensuring that all museums can take advantage of this hugely needed support.
