Prime Minister announces funding for IWM and reiterates support for free admission 19/10/2012

 

In a speech at the IWM London on 11th October 2012, the Prime Minister announced plans to commemorate the 100th anniversary of World War One. He also used the speech to reiterate the Government's support for the policy of free admission to national museums. His speech included an announcement that Treasury will provide £5m towards the refurbishment of IWM London's World War One galleries. »more

NMDC supports Government legislation for an Orphan Works and Voluntary Extended Copyright Licensing 28/09/2012

 

The Government has published proposals to modernise copyright licensing which would provide museums with a way to more fully use orphan works and apply for an extended collective license to digitise whole collections.
